This is a short course on the theory and practice of managing through influence and mutual agreement rather than through formal authority and hierarchy. It has two primary goals. The first goal is to provide conceptual guidelines for analyzing one's strategic options as a manager in relatively non-hierarchical settings. The second goal is to impart practical interpersonal skills for implementing strategies
